Community Connection
“Family Time” is now Community Connection! While the name has changed, the focus has not: these activities, offered by our Children’s Education Director, are designed to help families remain connected to their faith, community and each other.
Each week, a new activity is introduced during Sunday worship and then posted below. Also, don’t forget to follow Community Connection on Facebook and Instagram.
Eat Together
According to The Family Dinner Project, "Sharing a family meal is good for the spirit, the brain and the health of all family members."
Let’s Get Cooking
When you cook as a family (whether or not you have kids in your home), you get to spend valuable time together, work towards a shared goal that is clear and satisfying in its achievement, and make the kitchen a less mysterious and/or dangerous place for the less culinary members of your household (this includes both kiddos AND adults who may not be as kitchen-savvy as some of their peers!).
It’s Starting to Cool Down, Which Means Renewed Opportunities to be Outside.
This week, make a calendar of outdoor activities that your family can do together.
