Save By Giving
How would you like to save a little money when it comes to donating to the church? Everybody loves to save money! Currently, if you use a credit card to make a donation to the church you or the church will have to pay the processing fee, that fee is 2.65%, that can add up to some serious cash throughout the year! If you were to make your donation by doing an ACH transfer your processing fee would be 1%. That’s a 1.65% savings!!
What is an ACH transfer?
In banking, ACH stands for Automated Clearing House, which is a network that coordinates electronic payments and automated money transfers. ACH is a way to move money between banks without using paper checks, wire transfers, credit card networks, or cash.
How safe is an ACH Donation?
ACH Donations are very safe. Your routing and account numbers should be handled just like any other important numbers. REALM uses a combination of advanced hardware and software firewalls from leading network security providers. These firewalls secure your data from multiple threats (e.g. hackers, viruses, spybots, etc.). REALM staff continuously monitors logs and data points to ensure the integrity of our systems.
How do you set up an ACH donation?
Set up is easy! It’s just like you set up your credit card. All you have to do is put in your routing and account number from your bank account. That information can be found on the bottom of your check blank.
Login to Realm and follow these simple steps:
Under the Community tab located on the left margin, click on Giving
Under the Giving page, click on +Give
Fill out the gift information: Amount, Fund, Give Once or Give Multiple Times (every week, every 2 weeks, every month, twice a month, every 3 months), Gift Date and then Continue
On the next screen click on Bank Account, there you will be asked to add your routing and account number. The remainder of your personal information should be already filled out for you. Then read and check the 3 boxes below. All the boxes are important but take particular note of the last box, this box will allow you to pay the processing fee, if you don’t check the box the church will pay the fee. Either way you’re saving 1.65%!
Then click on GIVE and you’re all done! If you have questions about ACH, please contact the church office.
