HopeKids Valentine’s Day Event This Saturday

Our church will host a large group of young HopeKids (50 or so kids up to age 12) and their families this Saturday from 9 to 11 a.m. for a special Valentine’s Day event. Numerous church members have volunteered to help with games and refreshments. They’ve already filled goodie bags with small treats and toys to hand out as the kids arrive. Five play stations will be set up – a beanbag dart board and a duck pond to earn prizes, and several stations where the kids can make a Valentine’s Day card, paint a Valentine rock, get a temporary Valentine tattoo, and even pet a friendly dog or two – including a very large talking Dalmatian! HopeKids is a nonprofit organization that provides services to children with life-threatening medical conditions (https://hopekids.org/about-us/). If you haven’t signed up to volunteer but want to help put smiles on the faces of these kids, just show up on Saturday.
