Sunday School is Restarting Next Week!
We cannot wait to re-open our Sunday School classroom next Sunday, October 3! Our brand-new Youth Group will begin its regular Sunday meetings on that day as well. Whether your family has participated in our youth programming before, or you are joining us for the first time, we wanted to fill you in on what to expect.
Youth Group will take place from 8:30 to 9:45, and serves ages 12 and up. Check in your kids at the Adult Sunday School classroom, where they will spend their time digging into questions of religion, current events, and how to be a young Christian in today’s world. The last part of each session will take place on the patio, as our young people participate in fellowship time with the rest of the congregation.
Sunday School will take place during the 10:00 service, and serves ages 4 to 12. Check in will occur prior to the service, then kids will join their families in the sanctuary through Family Time, when they’ll join Miss Jen and make their way to the classroom together. Their class time will follow the Godly Play curriculum, which includes a circle time, a special story time utilizing manipulatives to bring the Bible to life, and a creative response time where they can follow their wonder wherever it takes them. Check out will take place at the door to the classroom.
Covid safety measures for our youth programming will include masking, distancing as much as space allows, and outdoor instruction when the weather permits. These measures will adapt as CDC guidance changes.
