Community Connection
“Family Time” is now Community Connection! While the name has changed, the focus has not: these activities, offered by our Children’s Education Director, are designed to help families remain connected to their faith, community and each other.
Each week, a new activity is introduced during Sunday worship and then posted below. Also, don’t forget to follow Community Connection on Facebook and Instagram.
All Saints Day
Today in church we observed All Saints Day. The Methodist tradition encourages us to broaden our idea of who these saints might be, and to honor them through our actions, not just our words. Here’s how you might do that this week.
A Neighborhood Pumpkin Patch
We talk a lot about the importance of loving our neighbors, but we don’t always take the time to cultivate those relationships. Fall is a great opportunity to put your money where your mouth is, as it were, and connect with the folks in your “patch.”
Silent Walking
It’s finally becoming cool enough to walk outside while it’s still light! For those who tend to fill their walks with podcasts, music, and other kinds of noise, we’d like to offer you the chance to be a part of a new trend that is really not new at all: Silent Walking.
Enlightening Activities for the Eclipse
This world is full of wonders! Next Saturday, October 14th, your family will have an opportunity to experience one of them: an annular solar eclipse.
Add to Our Community Asset Map
You may have noticed a new bulletin board in the narthex. This board was lovingly designed by our fabulous Lay Leader, Annette B., and now it’s ready for YOU to contribute to it! Read on to find out what it’s all about.
